The MUST4Water project aims to balance socio-economic advancements with ecological processes, focusing on water as a crucial resource. It will address the feedback between water resources and Italy’s socio-economic system, which relies on imports and, consequently, on virtual water. By combining global and grid-scale models with a new Regional Economic and Water model (REWIND), the project seeks to develop a multi-scale approach to improve water efficiency and support policy decisions through quantitative evidence.
